Publish once. Get paid every run.
A clear split, a predictable schedule and no infrastructure to run. These are the planned early-access terms for the builder program.
Revenue share
Builders keep 80%
The split applies to net revenue — the price the user pays minus payment processing — on every run and every renewal. There are no listing fees and no tiers.
Builder
80%
Of net revenue on every run and every monthly renewal, for as long as the job is installed.
DotJobs
20%
Covers review, distribution, payment processing, support and the runtime guarantees.
Per-run jobs
You earn your share each time a user triggers a run. Partial runs that fail before producing output are not charged and not paid.
Monthly jobs
You earn your share each month a job stays installed and active. Paused jobs are not billed; uninstalls stop at the end of the period.
Version upgrades
Users on older versions keep paying the price they installed at. New installs pay the current price. You can never raise the price on an existing install.
Refunds
If a run is refunded for a defect in the job, the builder share is reversed. Refunds for user error or platform issues are absorbed by DotJobs.
Schedule
When and how you get paid
Earnings are visible as they happen. Payouts follow a fixed monthly rhythm so you can plan around them.
Earnings accrue
In real time, visible in the builder dashboard per job, per version and per region.
Monthly payout
Paid on the 5th for the previous calendar month once your balance passes the $50 minimum.
Payout methods
Bank transfer via Stripe Connect in supported countries. USDC on Base for builders who prefer on-chain settlement.
Tax forms
Collected during onboarding; required before the first payout.
What you never pay for
- Hosting or compute — jobs run inside the user's Dot
- Listing, review or version updates
- First-line user support
- Payment processing on refunds caused by the platform
FAQ
Common questions
Terms may be refined before launch. Early partners are notified of any change and keep their terms for twelve months.
Can I set my own price?
Yes. You choose per-run or monthly and set the amount within the catalogue's bands. We may suggest a price based on similar jobs, but the decision is yours.
What if someone copies my job?
Packages are versioned and signed. Copies of a listed job are removed on review. Forks are allowed only with your permission and credit, and you can set a share of the fork's revenue.
Do I need to handle support?
First-line support is handled by DotJobs. Defects in the job logic come to you with the run log attached so you can fix and publish a patch version.
When does this go live?
Payouts go live with the builder program. Early partners get the terms on this page locked for twelve months after launch.
