Installing a job

Install, configure, pause and uninstall jobs from your dashboard.

Installing a job saves it to your account and creates a configuration you fill in. Nothing runs until your Dot is connected and the job is marked Ready. You can install any job once; installing it again is a no-op.

Install

On a job page, press Install to your Dot. If you are signed out you will be asked to sign in first and brought back to the same job. After installing you land on the job's page in your dashboard.

Configure

Each job lists its inputs. Required inputs are marked; the job cannot run without them. Connection inputs (Slack channel, Google Sheet, wallet…) are granted when your Dot is connected, so they do not block setup.

Statuses you will see on a job:

StatusMeaning
Needs setupOne or more required inputs are empty.
ReadyAll required inputs are filled. The job runs on its schedule once your Dot is connected.
PausedYou paused it. It keeps its configuration but does not run and is not billed.

Pause and resume

Use Pause on the job page to stop runs without losing your inputs. Monthly billing stops at the end of the current period. Resume picks the schedule back up immediately.

Uninstall

Uninstall removes the job and its inputs from your account. Connections granted to it are released. Run history is kept for 30 days so you can still review what it did.

Versions and updates

Jobs are versioned. Patch and minor updates apply automatically and never change your inputs or price. A major version (for example a new required input or a changed destination) is offered as an upgrade you accept explicitly; until then you stay on your current version at the price you installed at.

Next: inputs and connections.
